Press, Awards and Customer Reviews

We are totally committed to making every stay special here at Penally Abbey. Naturally, we always welcome postive reviews and critical accolades. However, our most important reviewers are always our valued guests.

Awarded 'Hotel of the Year 2017' by Sawdays

'We love small, intimate hotels and inns where the art of hospitality is practiced with flair - this wonder of our world has mastered that art in spades'

We are absolutely THRILLED to announce this award as it was a complete surprise on a drab September morning! We have always been extremely fond of Sawday's and love their ethos and wonderful guides. Therefore, we could not be happier or more honoured to receive such an accolade.

'The place exudes bonhomie. Something exceptional happens at Penally Abbey: at least it does to me. Many hotels claim it, but few can truly pull it off. You instantly relax, instantly feel at home.'
