Why choose Pembrokeshire as a backdrop for your wedding?
Ask anyone in Pembrokeshire what they love about it. The answers will all be very different but will follow a similar theme, the coast, the views and the prominence and beauty of nature. When it comes to weddings, it can be a difficult and stressful time for many brides. With the sea being a focal point of this beautiful county, and its ability to eliminate stress and allow your mind to be reminded of the bigger picture, it seems almost a necessity when planning to marry the person you intend on spending the rest of your life with!
Penally Abbey boasts these incredible views out to sea and are a wonderful backdrop for each part of the day, from the ceremony in the dining room to the photos, drinks and canapés on the terrace.
Why get married at Penally Abbey Hotel?
Marrying the person you want to share the rest of your life with is purely about two people and celebrating your love for one another. Forget everything else. Embarking on your life together should be done your way, not how someone tells you it should be done. Therefore, at Penally Abbey we DON’T have ‘wedding packages’ or explain to you how the day will go, you explain to us how you see it.
From the initial enquiry to the gentle flow of the day itself, my aim is to make sure couples embark on their married life feeling relaxed and able to fully enjoy, embrace and indulge on the beauty of the day.
Are we right for you and your wedding day?
Our ethos is simple; to create a relaxed, personal and intimate place for our guests to escape and forget life’s daily stresses. This idea is mirrored completely to weddings.
In order for wedding guests to enjoy the space we only do small weddings for up to 35 people with a potential extra 20 people in the evening when the bride and groom have exclusive use of the whole hotel. Exclusive use of the hotel allows guests to have the entire hotel and grounds which means complete flexibility to be as creative as you like.
Why do we specialise in small, intimate weddings?
We specialise in smaller weddings not simply because of the size of our hotel but because it gives us the luxuary to work closely with the bride and groom to make sure the day is personal to them. Our head chef Jerry Adam is able to develop a menu to mirror your tastes whilst I can assist in the organisation of the day, making sure pre-wedding stress is as minimal as possible.
