Festival of the Sea
Saturday 19th May | Gupton Farm, Freshwater West
On Saturday 19th May the National Trust and Pembrokeshire Beach Food are coming together to celebrate all things coastal for Visit Wales' 'Year of the Sea' 2018. The festival will be located just up the hill from Freshwater West at Gupton Farm. It promises to be a fantastic day full of innovative Pembrokeshire based artists, suppliers and creators with stalls, live music, street food, drink and beach activities!
Food from Slow Pig, Pembrokeshire Beach Food and Tom Bean Pizza's will be keeping the foodies satisfied whilst Barti Rum will be heading up the bar. The fantastic Daisy B, Firebird Trio and Mike Jones will be amongst the line up entertaining visitors throughout the afternoon and evening whilst wonderful local suppliers will have stalls where you can browse and buy fabulous things!

The Big Retreat Festival
25th - 28th May | Lawrenny Village
The Big Retreat Wales is a wonderful wellness festival set in the heart of the pretty village of Lawrenny in Pembrokeshire. The focus of the festival is to attend to all its visitors wellbeing needs whilst removing them from the daily stress of everyday life.
The ticket price covers the majority of activities that are timetabled during the festival and there really is something for everyone. With a number of different tents featuring fitness, yoga, cookery and inspiring talks all about wellness as the aim is to ensure that visitors leave the festival feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. There are also spaces where visitors can get involved in bushcraft and other such delights as well as taking in the various music performances and delicious food on offer.

Fishguard Folk Festival
25th - 26th May | Fishguard
Back for its 19th year celebrating a mix of local and well-known folk performers, the festival provides four days of dancing, singing and live music. With most events being free to get in to, whatever you fancy doing from playing, listening or watching there plenty of events to occupy you throughout the weekend! Fishguard is right on the fabulously beautiful North Pembrokeshire coast so once you have danced the afternoon away you can spend the evening perched on the cliff top watching the sunset.
Tickets: most events are free but concert tickets across the weekend are £16.00 for adults & £6.00 for under 16s.

Pembrokeshire Food Festival
15th - 17th June | Tenby South Beach
This fantastic food festival will be returning to the glorious South Beach in Tenby this June. Fantastic street food artisans from across the country will be descending on Tenby for three days of fresh food, delicious drinks and a celebratory atmosphere on the beach. From freshly made stone-baked pizza, gourmet mac 'n' cheese along with endless mouth watering desserts, there is something for absolutely everyone!

Long Course Weekend
13th July | Tenby
Tenby is fast becoming noted and well practiced in hosting gruelling and challenging sporting events for even the fittest of athletes. The Long Course Weekend is one of several that is now popular for both its arduous route and scenic location. The sporting weekend begins with athletes completing a 2.4 mile swim from Tenby North Beach on Friday evening before taking on the Pembrokeshire countryside with a 112 mile bike ride on Saturday, with hundreds of supporters. The last test is for athletes to complete the 26.2 mile Welsh Marathon on the Sunday which brings yet more supporters and athletes in its own right. Tenby is at the heart of the weekend and is the ultimate spot to watch, support and enjoy the excitement and accomplishments of the weekend.

Penally Abbey's 4th Birthday

We can't quite believe that this July we'll be celebrating four years of running Penally Abbey Hotel. The celebrations will be orientated around eating delicious cake and celebrating with those who have supported us over the past four years. Please keep an eye on our social media as we'll be letting everyone know our celebration plans! Whatever the plans are, please pop and see us during the week for a celebratory slice of cake and glass of something delicious! We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone.
Tenby - Caldey Island Swim
12th August | Tenby
The Tenby to Caldey Island swim is another sporting event where hundreds of swimmers take on the choppy stretch of water between Tenby and Caldey Island. The route is full of different tides and requires swimmers to be clever with their direction and calculating in their route towards the island. The swim raises money for a variety of charities and is a particularly popular challenge for local athletes.
Best spot to watch: Tenby North Beach or South Beach.
Tenby Summer Spectacular
Tenby Harbour | August 12th (and every Sunday until the end of August)
The Tenby Summer Spectacular, more commonly known as the 'summer spec' is a fantastic event held most Sunday afternoons at Tenby harbour, which provides the ultimate backdrop for the celebrations. The harbour fills with food and drinks stalls, live music and family events creating an afternoon and evening filled with fun for all the family. The day kicks off around 3pm and ends with a spectacular fireworks display, weather dependent of course - it is Wales after all!
