October in Pembrokeshire...
...means the best sunrises and sunsets of the year!

We had a surprise visit from Tom Bell from 'Sawdays' who awarded us
'Hotel of the Year 2017'!
We were beyond excited and completely shocked to receive such recognition from such a lovely company. We are now more determined than ever to maintain and continually enhance our beautiful hotel over the next few years.
Good Bye Summer, Hello Autumn
As Summer came to an end we imagined that the beaches and streets would empty and so would the rooms.
However, we haven't been swallowed into the dark, quiet evenings of Autumn and instead seem to be enjoying beautiful sunrises and welcoming more guests than ever before.
Lovely, happy guests have flocked to the rugged, wild coastal paths and have made use of our cosy corners and new extensive gin and wine list. The weather has been beautiful, the first fires in the hotel have been lit and our staff have been kept happily busy.
A busy, fun and exciting Autumn
Our time has been filled with several gorgeous weddings, welcoming lovely new members of staff to our team both in the kitchen and front of house, new menus with exstensive tastings, staff birthdays and very exciting plans for the coming months.
We have had some BEAUTIFUL weddings throughout September and October
Good Hotel Guide 2017

In the kitchen...
This Autumn we have welcomed two new chefs to join our ever brilliant Head Chef Paul Barnes. Both have wow'ed us with their drive, passion and most importantly, ability to cook wonderful food. Both our staff and guests can vouch for that!
Dave has come in as our new Sous Chef and Chris as our commis.
New Autumn/Winter Menu
With our new Winter menu launching this weekend we have fully accepted that Autumn is here with Winter on the horizon.
Think cosy, heartwarming dishes using seasonal and local produce served simply and beautifully.
Here are our staff thoroughly enjoying tasting the delights of the menu!
November in Pembrokeshire...
This November we are very excited to see the return of Anand George the marvelous Indian chef from Purple Poppadom in Cardiff! Returning for the third year running on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th November!
After leaving the foodie land of London last year and returning to live and work in Pembrokeshire, food events are something I miss here in Tenby. Our aim at Penally Abbey is to bring that excitement and celebration of interesting and delicous food to the hotel!

Christmas Parties and Gatherings
Before I sign off I have to bring up CHRISTMAS. Whether we're ready for it or not its slowly approaching and will be here before we know it!
This year we have our beautiful new Courtyard space which is THE perfect spot for festive get togethers whether it be with work colleagues, family or groups of friends.
What can you expect from a Christmas 'do' at Penally Abbey?!
You're own private space complete with an enourmous Christmas tree, your own seperate bar area, own sound system to play music and exceedingly good food.
I have booked our Christmas party for the wonderful team at Penally because if there's one thing they deserve, its a serious celebration.
Look out Pembrokeshire, the festive season is approaching!
Until next time...
