This has been a highly anticipated project that we were finally able to begin in January this year. After four months, and easily our biggest transformation for the hotel so far, we have completely gutted and rebuilt the courtyard space.
Previously it was a swimming pool area with a laundry room above and a snooker room to the side. Now it is a second bar and an events space with beautiful high ceilings, twinkling chandeliers and exposed beams. Add to that potentially the most expensive loos in Pembrokeshire, which were excavated into the side of the hill, and we have a space perfect to welcome a different aspect of the hospitality business!

The steel went in and then we excavated underneath the Coach House to make room for the loos

The (nearly!) finished Courtyard
The beautifully designed Courtyard by the very talented Melanie Boissevain!
Having this space means we can be as creative as we like with events and ideas for the hotel.
It is perfect for exclusive private hire events and the summer is already filling up with bookings for weddings, conferences and private parties.
My excitement for what we can do in the Courtyard is never ending and I can't wait to share it with you all!
We have had such a fantastic team putting this together - Lucas project managing the entire process, Melanie designing the space, the Eliteline building team, brilliant painters, electricians and plumbers, Karl the carpenter who kept the project going for the last two months and all our staff for keeping up the enthusiasm and excitement for the final product! A huge thankyou to everyone!
There are so many things in the pipeline so keep an eye on our Facebook/Instagram/Twitter pages for updates.
So, for now, watch this space!
